A week spent exploring the most famous city in the world - and just before the holiday season too, when the city is at its most magical.

As we often do, we decided to go for our birthdays in early december for a short trip somewhere we haven't been before. And this year we decided to visit only the most famous city in the world. And just in time before Christmas, to catch all that jolly holiday mood in the air. Packed christmas broadway shows, freezing temperatures but superb weather, city breaking busy with shoppers, workers and visitors. Ice skating, ferry-riding and some of the best city panoramic views in the world.
